That elemental phase… on my dynamic-playthrough I had barret, red and Tifa without magic equipped. x) I‘m close to the end now in hardmode, but watching this video I'm a little bit afraid. Last thing to do for Platinum tho. xD Edit: Your guide was a great help, had to retry several phases but at least you haven't to start over completely. xD Finally Platin! Sadly I forgot asses-materia again for last-phase-sephiroth -.- but I guess I can redo that on easy-mode.. sometime.. before part 3 launches.. xP

I love how he talks about how *not* hard these battles are... Meanwhile, I've been getting consistently WIPED on round 3 for weeks. It's a great build, but every time I pressure the Adjudicator and then use magic, it still reflects. And that's IF I can manage to pressure it before the other B@*!#&^$ take me out. I'm max level. Finished everything else. I've got this challenge, and those that won't unlock until I beat it left. This challenge makes me want to walk away from 200+ hours of work. I've never actually been so frustrated with a stupid video game that I've wanted to take a sledgehammer to my console, before, but as I sit outside at nearly midnight having my "calm down before you combust" cigarette, my eyes keep wandering to the hammer on the toolbox...

These VR challenges could actually be pretty fun if it didnt have rounds. It's heartbreaking to get killed in that tenth round and having to spend 20 minutes to get back there. Such a bad decision for an otherwise excellent game

Well I used optinoobs strat and now I can make it to sephiroth and he kills me. So he does shadow chains and then I recover and he does it again like right after. It's weird why he does that so so fast a second time

Great guide once again - out of curiousity; does transferance medal and limit support stack? I mean for the other party members. I've been playing with it but I can't seem to get a consistent result. I see the limit bar climbing for the other characters although I can't seem to tell if it's simply because limit support is on Red for example. Has anyone tried this? Thanks again.

I saw this recently and wanted an excuse to play the game again, I went for a limit build with limit siphon and expeditionary medal on Cloud. Depending on the fight I had Seph back up to a full limit by the time Cloud was finishing his and this challenge became easy lol. Used the synergy attacks whenever I needed manawall back and repeated limits. I think magic builds with Genji ring is faster although this was a lot of fun. 10/10 would recommend imo. Thanks for putting this up, really appreciated it.

Platinum FINALLY completed! This was my last fight. Honestly took me longer than Zack mission. Thank you for all the help on my platinum run. Only took just under 4 months. 😂

Im at attempt 300 or so. I instantly die on gilgamesh, it takes me about 6 hours to get through the attempts to actually get to him and now I have a strategy but it's too late because every time I get back there he's going to beat me again and again because I instantly die there's no down time at all whatsoever I don't know what to do anymore I'm thinking of changing my build again but it's not going to work. I have to slog through 6 summons in three rounds every single time I want to get to the guy that I'm trying to destroy and then he immediately kills me zero down time again zero down time it doesn't matter what I do for some reason fire max strength twice with the genji glove and 500 magic didn't do anything I don't understand what the fuck my problem is I don't understand why I can't just kill this thing its weak to fire I use fire and then it immediately jumps up again after its pressured for 3 seconds and then kills me again I'm sick of it I wish there was another strategy I have tried all of your biuilds and every other build on UA-cam that has the strategy listed I've also gone on Reddit and Facebook and a bunch of video game sites it's to the point where I'm looking for strategies every single day to see if something updated or somebody refreshed I need help here I don't understand why can't I just have a strong party that can get through this I don't understand why I have to use the stupid brumal form, and the dive kick doesn't work on Gilgamesh there's no chance for me to actually practice him unless I can go fight him right now on his Island but I already killed him. He was much easier back then I don't understand what happened Edit now I got Gilgamesh now sephiroth is destroying me

Thank you! Using this, took me a solid week and a half to 2 weeks, but finally got it this morning. Bahahut and Odin were mainly my run killers (although sometimes I'd get over aggressive trying to rush and bosses 2,4, 5 and 6 would get me). I ended up just practicing against Bahamut and Odin at Max Power with just Cloud in the simulator. After I could beat them solo 4 or 5 times in a row, they werent so daunting. Sure enough, a few times trying this challenge later, nailed it. Albeit barely. Accidentally got Cloud stuck on the wrong half of the battlefield near the end. But before Zack got taken out, I managed to Raise Cloud and give him one last manawall. One or two aerogas later I beat him. Stick to it and you'll get there. Now onto the Sephiroth challenge 😂

was a long and stressful battle but finally got it last night i just kept resummoning moogle when he died and unmount him and the mindflayer almost constantly focused their attention on him including the two eildrich horror laser they shot moogle sentinel helped a lot keeping my moogle alive the only attack that gave me trouble was the purple particle spam he does but it become easy to parry once you get the hang of it

Ok, you mention that the right side of the field is the safe half during Spatial Distortion. How do I know if I'm on the right side when it happens? Edit: it looks like if you just follow him when he shifts into Lord of the Blade, you'll already be on the safe side🤔

The most helpful aspect for me was to kick ass in rounds 1, 2, (skip using any cards in round 3) & 4. I started Round 5 with 5 cards. I used the Shadow Blood Queen card as recommended. I beat her on my 2nd try after watching you & 2 other UA-cam videos.

This games hard mode has cheating AI its disgusting joke and they need to f***** fix it .The enemys have unlimited ATB and doing there move 1 after another with no pause so you end up dancing around like a fucking moron skilless trash and they try to cover the fact the game trash with this synergy BS

How make tower on lvl 1??? It's not working ..

I used the same build as you and did everything you said but I’m only doing 10,000 to 32,000 even when the enemy is staggered. I’m in prime mode and everything. Am I missing something?

I tend to lose control when he goes crazy… erm… usually after splitting the room and stuff. I also often kill myself with that reprisal stuff, maybe I'm to offensive, idk. It’s just so exhausting to have to start over and over again… wanted to finish the game before Dawntrail, but I still have to do hard mode and wanted complete Chadley first. x) I’ll try to be more patient if I overcome Hueyatlcoatl and Bahamut once more. (Died way too often on 2nd round xD)

The fact that the emerald witch isn’t beneficial or required for this match just blows my mind. I kind of love all the extra things to do in this game, but the mechanics and strategy were not the most well thought out for some of the mini games. Thank you for the guide!
